Sometimes, you buy your dream home only to move in and find there are little issues that need addressing before you can completely relax and it feels like your own.
The Privacy Problem
Our clients recently bought a new property in Randwick and whilst they loved the space, they found that while sitting in their lounge room there was little privacy due to the neighbour’s house being higher up at the back of their property.
Secondly, they were looking to create an outdoor room whereby they could take advantage of the perfect Australian weather we enjoy for dining and entertaining outdoors.
Sustainability was also an important factor in their choice of materials and bamboo ticked all the boxes. With a bamboo plant growing up to 91cm per day (the height of a tennis net) it just makes sense as the simple choice for your home & garden projects as one of the most sustainable materials on our planet.
Contemporary Bamboo Design Solution.
The house had a modern simplistic feel and the proximity of the fence meant it acted as the backdrop to the home. The Symphony Collection and contemporary bamboo ‘Cello' material was the perfect solution. It offers a modern, luxurious feel, complimenting the architecture of the home and blending the inside with the outside for a seamless transition.
The fence was raised slightly to hide the surrounding neighbours and then clad with the modern bamboo slats in a vertical installation. The corrugated design of the boards adds a beautiful contemporary bamboo feel and it was capped with bamboo trims at the top to complete the look.
A Modern, Private Home
Our clients are very happy with the outcome and you can see why! Instead of just being a neglected eyesore, their boundary fence is now a beautiful feature of their property.
