This project consists of two living pavilions resting above a stone podium housing 5 bedrooms, and providing magnificent views of Middle Harbour. The highlight of this build is the steel structure that tethers the pavilions and then morphs into a dramatic canopy to protect the outdoor entertaining area from the sun and rain. The use of natural cane reed supplied by House of Bamboo® provides a soft and natural textural feature that helps to merge the building with its surroundings.
Looking through the landscape courtyard towards the front door the cane reed material lines the ceiling beautifully and provides the perfect backdrop to the garden, blending the natural elements of the landscape with the building.
The House of Bamboo® has based its sustainable material range on the utilisation of natural bamboo and reed materials in modern, architecturally sound and flexible environments. Various looks can be achieved by using a different diameter bamboo for individual effects.
Our innovative, cost effective, comfortable and aesthetic shade solutions work to keep the sting out of the sun and the heat off your back.
