Absolutely. We supply the rattan and can advise on tensioning, fixing details and framing dimensions so the weave sits correctly. We'd suggest a joiner who has worked with rattan before, since achieving the right tension on the frame takes experience with the material. If you'd rather have a single solution, we design and manufacture the complete framed panel and deliver it ready to install.

Engineered bamboo is made by laminating bamboo strips under pressure into solid, dimensionally consistent sections, similar to the way engineered timber products are made. It machines and finishes like hardwood, holds its shape well, and comes from a plant that regenerates without replanting, which is why it carries stronger sustainability credentials than most hardwood alternatives.

Yes. Because the material is laminated rather than sawn from a single log, it behaves more predictably than solid timber, with less tendency to cup, bow or twist as conditions change. That stability matters for framed rattan work, where the frame needs to hold the weave under even tension over time.

Our engineered bamboo range is supported by certifications including FSC, GreenTag, Declare, Red List Free and EPDs, with recognition across Green Star, WELL and BREEAM rating pathways. If your project is targeting a specific rating, tell us early and we'll supply the documentation your certifier needs.

In interior applications, framed rattan is a long-life finish. The engineered bamboo frame protects the weave edges and holds the material under tension, and the rattan itself needs no more than dusting and an occasional wipe down. We've supplied commercial venues where the panels see daily traffic and continue to perform years after install.

Yes, and this is a common brief. We design frames and panel layouts around diffusers, sprinklers, lighting tracks, speakers and access panels, with cut-outs and junctions resolved in the technical drawings before manufacture. Send us the reflected ceiling plan and we'll coordinate the panel setout with your services layout.

Both. Standard sizes are the quickest path: send us your dimensions and we put them into production. For unique spaces we make panels to bespoke measurements, including curves and shaped frames, as we did for the curved ceiling panels at Chatswood Chase.

Yes to both. Rattan is available raw, bleached, or custom stained to your palette, and the engineered bamboo frames can be stained or painted to match your joinery schedule. Order swatches to check tones against your finishes before you commit.

Feature walls, doors, joinery inlays, cabinetry fronts, table tops, screens and bespoke furniture. The same weaves and frame profiles carry across all of them, so a ceiling treatment can be matched in the joinery elsewhere in the space.

Twelve to sixteen weeks from sign-off is a working guide, though it depends on volume, and smaller orders can move faster. For smaller jobs we can also offer local joinery services, which shortens the timeline again. Tell us your program dates when you enquire and we'll confirm what's achievable.

Yes. Rattan and prefabricated panels ship Australia-wide, and we also supply internationally. Panels are prefabricated and packed for transport, so what arrives on site is ready to fix.

Request the swatch collection through the site and we'll send physical samples of the weaves and tones you're considering. You're also welcome at our Botany showroom in Sydney, open weekdays 8am to 4pm and Saturdays by appointment, where the full range is on display at scale.

For material only, quantities and your chosen rattan. For framed work, we need the panel dimensions, the volume of frames, your fixing requirements, the rattan you're after and anything else the frames need to accommodate. A marked-up plan, render or sketch supports all of this well. Technical drawings are ideal, but they can come later.
