With a mission to build Australia’s most sustainable luxury home, the House of Bamboo was proud to collaborate with Jamie Durie OAM, renowned environmentalist and international landscape designer, on the Growing Home project. Durie has supported the House of Bamboo’s mission to create sustainable construction materials for more than twenty years and recognised that eco-friendly engineered bamboo products would not only service the project’s environmental objectives but deliver on style and function with quality and sophistication. Key design elements of the home showcase the House of Bamboo with acoustic panelling featured in the master bedroom. Our contemporary Symphony Series Opera cladding provides excellent sound insulation with a warm and natural aesthetic. The outdoor living area is complemented by our SeaChange Series Sorrento battens. These custom elements surround the rooftop garden and pool area, while silhouette fences create privacy around the home. The use of bamboo extends to the project’s exterior with bespoke SeaChange panels delivering a natural finish to the home’s garage door. This beautifully reflects the project’s sustainability elements and showcases bamboo as an innovative and modern alternative to timber.
