Located on the rooftop of Oran Park Hotel in Sydney’s south-west, Jinja Rooftop Bar has been conceived as a refined rooftop destination that balances indoor luxury with an open-air atmosphere. The interior is all about soft curves, layered surfaces, and a carefully curated material palette that creates a warm, immersive experience.
House of Bamboo’s rattan is used as a wall feature, with circular panels that add textural depth and visual interest across the space. The woven surface becomes part of the architecture, bringing warmth, depth, and a tactile quality to the curved walls and seating areas. Paired with velvet banquettes, ombré sheer curtains, and a muted pastel palette, the rattan subtly anchors the design without overpowering it.
Warm ambient lighting and delicate neon detailing trace the arched forms of the interior, enhancing material contrast and guiding the atmosphere from day through to evening.
As a key addition to the hotel, the design brings together Asian inspired dining and a refined yet relaxed aesthetic, creating a socially driven rooftop setting that encourages extended dining, connection, and a sense of escape above the surrounding urban context.
Designed by Archebiosis Architects, delivered by DBMG Fitout, and captured by Steven Woodburn Photography, the project was recognised internationally with the 2025 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards Gold, winning the Surface Interiors Australia & Pacific category, celebrated for its refined use of surface materials and cohesive spatial identity.
