Bambuu Randwick

For some projects, the use of certain materials is obvious. For the Vietnamese institution Bambuu in Randwick, the material was in the name. But instead of using the traditional bamboo poles or rod screens you’d expect to see in a South-East Asian restaurant, they chose to use engineered bamboo for a modern and clean finish. Louvred bamboo slats were used throughout the space from the entire length of the ceiling to the dining room walls, cascading down in a seamless and dynamic transition.
